• Q: What is an official transcript?

  A: An official transcript is one that is issued from the Office of the Registrar, contains an official seal or signature of the registrar and a watermark, and is sent to AACPMAS directly from the Registrar in a sealed envelope.

  To make sure your official transcript is handled properly by AACPMAS, you should print the AACPMAS Official Transcript Request Form (found on the left side of the Institutions Attended page) and give that to your Registrar's Office to include with your transcript when it is mailed to AACPMAS. At the same time, you should request an unofficial student copy for yourself to help you complete the online application. Remember, AACPMAS must receive an official transcript from EVERY accredited institution you attended.

  PLEASE NOTE: You must print a separate Transcript Request Form for each institution you've attended. Click the link to the left of each institution listed on the Institutions Attended page for that institution's Transcript Request Form.

• Q: If I have attended multiple colleges and transfer credit is listed on the transcript of my primary institution, do I need to send a transcript from each school?

  A: Yes. You are required to send ONE transcript from each college you have attended regardless of the number of courses you have taken or what your designated podiatric schools and colleges require.

• Q: What do I do if my transcript(s) are not received by AACPMAS?

  A: It is the applicant's responsibility to monitor the status of their account and make sure that all materials arrive at AACPMAS for processing. Once you have e-submitted your application, you may view the status of your application materials. (See “My Application Status” section)

  AACPMAS is not responsible for any materials lost in the mail or for delays caused by the Registrar's Office.

• Q: Can I send “Student Issued” (unofficial) transcripts to AACPMAS?

  A: No. AACPMAS accepts official transcripts directly sent from the registrar's office ONLY. Unofficial, student-issued, and hand carried transcripts are not acceptable.

• Q: Will AACPMAS send my transcripts to my designated schools and colleges of podiatric medicine?

  A: No. The transcripts that you are required to send to AACPMAS DO NOT get forwarded on to your designated schools and colleges of podiatric medicine. Upon specific request, you may need to send an official transcript directly to the school.

• Q: Should I send official transcripts directly to my designated schools and colleges of podiatric medicine?

  A: No. Official transcripts required by AACPMAS for purposes of verifying the academic coursework on your application are to be sent to AACPMAS ONLY. Unless specifically requested by the institution, the schools and colleges of podiatric medicine will not use transcripts for the purposes of processing and evaluating your application.

• Q: Can I e-submit my application before my transcripts are received by AACPMAS?

  A: Yes. Once you have successfully filled out your application, you can e-submit it to AACPMAS at any time. However, your application will not be processed until AACPMAS has received all of your official transcripts and your payment.
