A: Yes. All coursework must be listed (including repeated, failed and withdrawn courses). You must include the course title, prefix and course number exactly as it is printed on the transcript. AACPMAS must receive an official transcript from each college attended. Applications that do not include all courses listed on the transcripts will be returned to the applicant for corrections.
A: Refer to the back of your official transcript to determine the Term Type (semester, quarter, trimester, or unit). If your institution reports all credits as Units (i.e. 1 unit = 4 semester hours), please be sure to check the back of your transcript and make any credit conversions before you submit your application. Please be sure to enter the credits ATTEMPTED and not the credits earned.
A: Please refer to the “Course Subject” page provided. Not all courses will appear on this list. Report what you feel is appropriate and AACPMAS will make changes as necessary.
A: Yes. You should enter all coursework taken at foreign institutions. These courses will not be verified by AACPMAS but will appear on your application to your designated program(s).
NOTE: Transcripts from foreign institutions must be evaluated for U.S. equivalency by an evaluation service. Please refer to the Foreign Transcripts section of the FAQ's.
A: Yes. Once you have e-submitted your application to AACPMAS, any “Planned/In Progress” coursework can be updated during the Academic Update window. Please see the FAQ for Academic Update for more information.
A: Yes. Once your application has been mailed, all updated transcripts should be sent directly to AACPMAS.
A: If Advanced Placement coursework is listed on your official transcript, you must enter it into your application. Please list it exactly as it appears on your transcript.
A: If you repeated a course, enter both courses into the coursework section. Include the hours and grades received for each and enter “Repeat” as the course type for both courses. Even if your school offers a forgiveness policy, AACPMAS will calculate both grades into your GPA. Please be sure to enter the credits attempted and not the credits earned.
A: Yes. Report all coursework taken as part of a professional program. AACPMAS defines professional as all coursework where a certificate is earned as well as coursework that is taken for any degree higher than a Masters.
A: Yes. Study abroad is defined by AACPMAS as courses that are taken through a foreign institution while the student is currently enrolled at a U.S. institution. If you have attended a study abroad program sponsored by a U.S. institution and all courses, hours, and grades appear on the U.S. transcripts, list those courses in the coursework section under the U.S. Institution. DO NOT list these courses as a separate “Non US/Canadian (Foreign) Institution.”
